Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Franzone mobile application (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (the "Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Description of Service

Franzone is a language learning application that teaches Vietnamese, English, and German through example sentences with audio playback. The App offers topic-based lessons, phrase saving, learning progress tracking, and daily streaks. Franzone is available as a free tier with limited content and as a paid subscription ("Franzone Pro") with full access to all features and content.

3. Account Registration

To use certain features of the App, you must create an account. You may sign in using Google or email and password through Firebase Authentication.

When creating an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
• Not share your account with others or allow unauthorized access
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use of your account

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

4.1 Franzone Pro

Franzone Pro is available as a monthly subscription, yearly subscription, or lifetime one-time purchase. Subscriptions are processed as in-app purchases through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

4.2 Billing and Renewal

• Monthly and yearly subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
• Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account upon confirmation of purchase.
• The lifetime purchase is a one-time payment that grants permanent access to Franzone Pro features.

4.3 Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google in accordance with their respective refund policies. We do not process refunds directly.

4.4 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. Any price changes will apply to the next billing cycle after notice is provided. Existing subscribers will be notified before any price increase takes effect.

5. Intellectual Property

All content in the App — including but not limited to text, audio recordings, translations, illustrations, icons, UI design, and software code — is the property of Franzone and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not:

• Copy, reproduce, or distribute any content from the App without prior written consent
• Modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App or any part of it
• Use the App's content to build a competing product or service
• Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices in the App

6. User Conduct

When using the App, you agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App, its servers, or any related systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the functionality of the App for other users
• Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access or extract content from the App
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at our sole discretion, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms, is harmful to other users, or is otherwise objectionable.

Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Any provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property rights, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution) will continue to apply.

8. Disclaimers

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

• The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components
• The content is completely accurate, current, or free of errors
• The App will meet your specific learning goals or expectations

Franzone is a language learning tool and does not guarantee fluency or any specific level of proficiency in any language.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Franzone and its developers, officers, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the App. This includes, without limitation, loss of data, loss of profits, or damages resulting from reliance on any content provided through the App. Our total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Franzone operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically. Your continued use of the App after any modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
